Dougie Brown conquers the 7 hills challenge

Dougie completed the Seven Hills of Edinburgh Challenge last Sunday in very damp conditions (see attached photo). The time was 3 hours 17 mins, which was inside the 3:20  target and not last! Support has been fantastic and  helped him raise nearly £1900 so far. Hopefully there are a few more potential sponsors out there that will get him up to the £2000 target!
If any ESSA players or other Grange members would like to show your appreciation of Dougie's herculean work as league secretary, here is the good cause he has chosen, with HSBC matching every pound that you donate:  https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/dbsevenhills

A perfect whitewash by ESC, John Matthew putting up the best fight and Keith getting MoTM for playing twice to make up for a late withdrawal by one of the ESC guys.
Hilarious incident whereby Nick got Keith to play The William Tell Shot. This involves playing a bad shot that comes back over your own head and you don't move and your opponent plays it off the top of your head into the tin. You not only don't conced a stroke, you are gifted the point. Cue laughter on the balcony.
Fajitas and nachos served up by Jordan, all demolished. And the ladies tennis team overcooked it, so we had their surplus cakes and brownie scones. Result!
Afterwards, talk turned to Accies getting planning permission to turn their pile of rubble back into a sports building, rugby, doubles racketball and whether crowd-funding was the answer to life, the universe and the Euro crisis.
