GrangeSquash website: visitors from all around the squash world

January was another big month for this website with 436 Absolute Unique Visitors, from such diverse locations as USA, Kenya, Canada, Sweden, Belgium, Australia, India, France. Ireland came a calling quite a lot in Jan but of course we are dominated by visits from UK, (predominantly Scotland I would think) and about half of it our own membership. Just as importantly, 40% are people who were searching for an active squash club and can see that the high level of club activity by looking on this blog.

Overall, 2000 pages served up to our visitors in Jan. Half the visitors swing by after typing in the full web address while 40% of them get here by way of Google search, the rest see us on links on other sites.

Welcome to everybody and haste ye back!

Which members play 3 times per week or more all year round?

I hereby award the prize for booking the most courts to Messr's P Langley and R. Pfab.
The last time this accolade was awarded (in 2005), Karl Richmond won it with ~250 bookings so Robert & Patrick have raised the bar even more this past season. Well done.

The reason Partick did't win outright (as the graph would appear to indicate) is that his cousin Russell also booked under Langley so their bookings can only be given as a total. Seeing as Russell was here until Mar, I've split the bookings ascribed to Patrick on a pro-rata basis and it is approximately the same level as Robert Pfab.

This is one reason we ask that all bookings are made under the "Initial.Surname/Initial.Opponent" format in the booking rules.

Please use this format when booking courts, especially if you have a namesake at the club, it may help you get the bragging rights, and it will help us to get more court facilities for you. (CL)

Cricket dates

The Saltires (Scotlands cricket team brand name) will play some english cricket counties on 4 Sundays coming up. Court 1 will be occupied by the teas tables, access/parking will be restricted during the day so bring your membership card. Other than that, you should be able to book/play as usual.
