Richard Van Lienden made a debut appearance tonight at no. 5 against Dave McCaul. A very close first game, but the second and third dominated by Richard. 3-0, our only win.
Michael Scott took an impressive 2-0 lead on Matt Ross, but ended 2-3. A good result against Matt nonetheless.
Dougie got 2-3 against Taryne Lowe.
Al lost 0-3 to Alistair Flemming.
Will looked like he would take out Ken Maxwell, but was plagued by uncharacteristic errors and it wasn't to be. 0-3.
Overall 1-4. 9-17 on points. A strong side from David Lloyd, third in the league. An improvement on the first half result 6-20 against the same players, but we need to do more to stay up...

I have to add that Dougie was very impressive against Taryne and got as much out of it as he or probably anyone on the team could. Richard was quick around the front of the court and did well.
I didn't see much of Michael or Will's matches. Cap'n Ali G was struggling with the pace of Fleming's game after the holiday layoff and not enough wide shots to length. Easy for me to say from the comfort of the balcony.
A new player at 1 for the second half.
That will help in the fight against relegation.
Nah, Will has been playing at #5 on the firsts or #1 or 2 on thwe seconds since Oct.
Richard at #5 is a new player for us though.
Okay, so I only half read the report.
I'd move this Richard bloke up the team. He's clearly a good player with a top name.
Relegation?? Never!
