Hello everyone,
I
would like to introduce myself to those of you who I don't already know
personally. Many of you will have seen me floating around the club at
various times however I now have the dubious honour of succeeding Bill
Marshall as Grange Squash President. I would like to thank Bill on
behalf of all members for the fantastic amount of work he has put in
over the past few years. I have no doubt that we would not have had our
fantastic new courts without Bill's efforts. I will be leaning on him
heavily during my first few months but thankfully both he, Ali Ross and
Christy Looby before him have paved the way and completed most of the
major tasks which were outstanding hopefully leaving me a soother
passage.
I
have been a member of the Grange Club for 36 years. Whilst I have
mainly played squash and Racketball I also play a bit of tennis (badly)
and have even made an appearance a few years ago for the Hockey section.
I have played social cricket on a couple of occasions however whilst I
appreciate that many members enjoy the game, really, life is just too
short…….
I
am very interested to know your views on any club related matters (good
and bad). If you have any ideas, suggestions or complaints please
e-mail me at grangesquashclub@gmail.com.
I will do my best to keep the club running smoothly and will take on
board any points raised. I will be at Club nights most Fridays so feel
free to corner me there as well. I hope to see as many of you as
possible on court and also at the numerous social functions which give
all the Grange members the opportunity to get to know each other and
make new acquaintances.
Regards,
David Grieve
Grange Squash President
