Firsts home v Dalgety Bay 2 (Tues 12.02.08)

An awesome performance tonight.

Stokesy took out the young Scott Drummond 3-0.
Man of the match, Gerald, demolished Colin Boswell, 27-5.
Al kept Alan Jones at bay, 27-4.
Chris won 3-0 against Gerry Gemmel with fast pace.
Mike went up 9-2, 9-2 against Gerry Burton, but took his foot of the gas 3-9, 2-9. Then applied the Perring formula to bag the all important 20th point, 3-2.

Overall 5-0, 20-2 on points.

Gerald subcontracted the cooking to Franco.

Man of the match: Gerald. An impressive result against Colin Boswell - a tough opponent who will run and run, given the chance. In past meetings with Grange, he's won most of them and taken a game of Alan Hamer!

Colinton 2s thrashed Watsonians 3s this week at Myreside.

I can't remember the score that was written on the noticeboard, but it was a convincing away win.

I don't know who was playing.

I don't know what the food was like.

Hopefully Watsonians were saving themselves for next week's tie against Grange 1s.

Watsonians are looking out of the running for the 3rd promotion spot unless Mamma's slip up.

Looks like Mike Callaghan will play Perring at #1 a win for us, then Ali Carruth against Ali Gordon should be tight at #2, #3 Looby against Jim Dougal a Watsonians win, then Suggett against Fruish at #4 tight and Stokes to mop up the Watsons tailender. We should probably take it 3-2.

But who's doing the cooking?

ps - happy valentine's night to you all. xx

Just looked at the league table and Grange 1 are a mere 68 points ahead of Watsonians 3.

Surely this suggests an away win.

Good to see you've recovered from Valentines night Rich and are back on topic.

We'll see tomorrow night. Colinton 3 are probably just 12 points ahead of Grange so they are looking over their shoulder most. Watsonians are a mere distraction on the distant horizon by comparison, in fact Mammas seem to be ahead in the local Myreside derby.

Watsonians 3 are only 61 points ahead of the relegation spot.

Mammas - good team. How do you join them though?

Well, Watsonians put in a good performance against Grange tonight and took us out 3-2. It looks like Watsonians should hold onto 3rd place if they stay steady. And Colinton have just slipped out of Grange reach.
