First's home v Watsonians 2 (Tue, Feb 4,'09)

Grange 1 continued their '09 winning run with a hard fought 15-11 win over Watsons 2.

Building on last weeks sensational overhead shot-making, Will set the early pace with a blistering 3-0 win over John Walbaum. Brian's deft touch eventually overcame the ever-fit Chris Weare in a tense 5th for a crucial 3-2 win.

Mike put all the pace into the 4th string game but ultimately succumbed 1-3 to some fantastic touches from Peter Wilson. Chris and Mike Robson had a hard hitting encounter with Chris managing to squeak past 3-1 while Ian lost 0-3 to Colin Grant in the first string encounter.

A couple of cold ones, some pizza and Ian serving formal notice of his intention to captain the '09/10 side rounded off the evenings entertainment. All in, a tough gig ...........but the fun bus rolls on. (report: CM)

Grange thrashed Watsonian 2s in the first half, but only just scraped home with a 3-2 win this half.

Are the wheels coming off this bus?

There's a huuuuge match scheduled for Wednesday 18th of February when Grange travel to Waverley.

My advice is to rest all of the Grange first team next week when they play lowly Watsonian thirds.

We don't want the bus to collapse a week before the title-decider.

Ha Richard, the recent spate of bad food at Myreside is making you delirious;-) It was 3-2 in the first half against Watsons2, this time you were stronger by dint of Peter Wilson coming in... and we were weaker with Hamer's helicopter being snow-bound in the North Sea.

If the wheels on the bus are wobbling Richie, they're going to make even wider tread patterns on the Watsons3 roadkill next week.

Our pizza is, of course, slab-sized. We can send photos to Myreside to remind your chef what a man-sized pizza slice looks like.. or txt me for a takeaway number ;-)

For those who can't follow Richie's delirious delusions, see http://www.watsoniansquash.co.uk/community/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5&start=10#p90
